Braised Kale

  • 8 C Kale leaves, washed and chopped
  • 1 Onion, sliced
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 C Chicken stock
  • 1/2 tsp Chili pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


In a large pan, sauté (medium-high heat) the onions in the olive oil for 3 minutes, and then add the garlic and chili pepper flakes. Allow the garlic to cook for 1 minute before adding the kale and stock. Reduce heat to medium-low, put a lid on the pan, and cook for 5-10 minutes. Remove the lid and cook off the liquid. Season the dish with salt and pepper to suit your taste. 4 servings
