Zinnias are versatile!
They perform well massed in beds, used as an edging, in rock gardens, in containers, or as background plants. Zinnias will attract butterflies. They also make great cut flowers. CUT FLOWER TIP - Scald the stems after picking and change vase water every couple of days.
PLANTING TIP - Zinnia flowers are beautiful. But their foliage is less so. Make your plantings show them off the best. In garden beds, plant zinnias where their stems and foliage can be disguised by other plants. For example, plant zinnias at the back of the bed. Place salvia and marigolds in the middle, and splash petunias across the front.
