In honor of all the beauty, tastiness and inspiration of the grape harvest season we plucked a yummy bunch of links to share. Sorry, the wine is “bring your own". Add it the offerings below and you have a party!
So, let's start with a food! This would make a perfect appetizer atop Brie on grainy crackers. The great thing is it doesn't have to be grape season to make it, as it uses wine rather than fresh grapes.
3 1/2 c wine
|1. Combine wine, lemon juice, and pectin in a large saucepot. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently.
2. Add sugar, stirring until dissolved. Return to a rolling boil.
3. Boil hard one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Skim foam off top, if necessary.
4. Ladle hot jelly into hot, sterilized jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Tighten 2 piece lids. Process the filled jars for five minutes in a boiling water bath.
