Due to increased breeding efforts in the past couple of decades, in both the U.S. and Europe, there are over 100 named varieties of poinsettia, many in interesting shades beyond the standard red. They are now available in colors of pink, white, yellow, burgundy and every shade in between. Some are marbled or spotted and there are even double-bloomed varieties!

If you'd like to push the color boundary further, you can find Poinsettia displaying fantastical shade of blues, purples and bright greens that have actually been painted! Still crave more glitz? Then look for Poinsettias that have been dusted with glitter – even the classic reds seem fresher with a bit of sparkle!
